FAST FACT

With a victory, Seattle would become the second team in franchise history to reach the 12-win mark. The 1984 Seahawks finished 12-4.

ANALYSIS

The Seahawks haven’t given up a touchdown in nine quarters, dating to the fourth period against the New York Giants. The Titans haven’t scored an offensive touchdown in nine quarters. That was understandable against Indianapolis two weeks ago. That was inexplicable against Houston last week. Tennessee scratched out a 13-10 victory over Houston on the strength of its defense and “Pacman” Jones’ 52-yard punt return. To make matters worse, quarterback Steve McNair, running backs Chris Brown and Travis Henry and tight ends Ben Troupe and Erron Kinney are battling injuries. Receiver Roydell Williams, who averages a team-high 14.2 yards per catch on a team that lacks downfield threats, is out for the rest of the season with a wrist injury. This would appear to be another creampuff assignment for Seattle, but the Titans statistically (tied for 15th in total offense, 13th in total defense) are not a pushover. The Seahawks continue their push for home-field advantage throughout the playoffs with a methodical performance.

Prediction: Seahawks 26-17.
