Kayla Steigemeier scored 17 of her 20 points in the second half as Lakeland edged Post Falls 48-47 Tuesday night in an Inland Empire League game at Rathdrum.

Steigemeier added seven rebounds for the Hawks, who sealed the victory by grabbing the rebound after the Trojans’ Jenney McVeigh missed a potential game-tying free throw with 0.4 seconds left.

Brigitte Boucher had 10 points and nine rebounds for Lakeland and Natalie Nichols totaled seven points, five rebounds, nine assists and five steals.

Kandice McArthur scored 10 points to lead Post Falls. Heather Arnone scored nine points and Jordan Schoening added eight.

In other IEL action, Lindsay Stark had 23 points, four assists and five steals to lead Coeur d’Alene to a 58-30 rout of visiting Moscow. Deanna Dotts added 12 points, seven rebounds, four steals and four blocks for the Vikings (8-3, 5-1), who took control of the game by outscoring the Bears 20-5 in the second quarter. Kelsey Taylor scored 10 points and Sara Picard added nine to lead Moscow (2-7, 2-3).

Richelle Daily had 18 points and 13 rebounds as Medical Lake defeated visiting Priest River 59-53 in a non-league game. Caitlin Smith also had a double-double for the Cardinals (5-0) with 15 points and 11 rebounds. Lacy Hopkins led the Spartans (3-6) with 17 points and hit a pair of 3-pointers to lead a fourth-quarter rally. … Wynonna Johnson scored 14 points and Rian Miller added 10 points and nine rebounds as host Lakeside routed Logos 43-13 in Plummer. Vicki Sifford had a solid all-around game with six points, seven rebounds, four assists and five steals for the Knights (4-5), who led 22-5 at halftime. … Brooke Schanzenbach had 17 points on 8-of-10 shooting and four steals as Chewelah defeated visiting Bonners Ferry 57-39. Jochelle Schatz added 14 for the Cougars (3-2), while Kaitie Poston had 15 points and four steals to lead the Badgers (6-4). … Morgon VanderEsch scored 12 points to lead Grangeville to a 53-40 victory over visiting Lewiston. Brittney Devorak scored 15 points and hit three 3-pointers to lead the Bengals (6-6).

Heather Burke scored 12 points and Amy Knox added eight as Cheney (3-3) outscored Rogers 16-3 in the fourth quarter en route to a 42-29 victory in the first round of the Blackhawk Invitational in Cheney. Denisha Whitehead scored 11 points for the Pirates (1-5), who outscored the Blackhawks 11-2 in the third quarter to tie the game at 29. … North Central will face Cheney in tonight’s championship game as a result of a 39-22 victory over Colville. Lindsay Giampietri scored 10 points to lead NC (2-4), which never looked back after taking an 11-2 first-quarter lead. Jordan Emmil led Colville (0-5) with 10 points.

Lisa Stoll had 11 points and 10 rebounds as West Valley took over early and defeated visiting Newport 45-30 in a non-league game. Krystal McCarthy scored 12 points to lead the Eagles (1-5), who jumped out to a 27-11 halftime lead. Alicia Smith led Newport (3-5) with eight points. … Meagan Teade and Jordan Harazin each scored 12 points as Colfax defeated Tekoa-Oakesdale 55-32 in Tekoa. Kylie Shaw pulled down eight rebounds for the Bulldogs (5-2), who outrebounded the Nighthawks 34-27. Casey Smith scored 10 points to lead T-O (5-2). … Nichole Miller scored 28 points on 13-of-15 shooting as Curlew routed visiting Oroville 56-35. Amanda Grumbach added 16 points for the Cougars (6-2), who shot 24 of 34 as a team. … Titi Ala had 22 points and 18 rebounds to lead St. George’s (6-1) to a 62-40 victory over host Rosalia (2-2).
