Valley Fire – Commissioners discussed equipment and station needs to be addressed at the maintenance and operations levy set for March, then scheduled a retreat to discuss the subject in more depth at 9 a.m. on Jan. 6. A location has yet to be determined. They approved a policy to allow dependents and spouses of deceased retirees access to insurance and also approved a Tax Increment Financing agreement with Liberty Lake. Fairfield City Council – Council members will apply for a pavement preservation grant through the Transportation Improvement Project and passed the 2006 budget. They reviewed personnel policies and job descriptions. Newly elected officials will attend a workshop sponsored by the Association of Washington Cities.
