The following nonprofit organizations need volunteer help. If you’re interested, please contact them directly:

Coeur d’Alene Police Department: Volunteers needed to help in office as needed, including data entry and general record keeping. Minimum of 16 hours per month. Call Wally, 666-5732.

Huetter Visitor Center: I-90 between Coeur d’Alene and Post Falls. Volunteers needed to greet travelers and pass on information. Hours flexible. Call Fred at 667-4735.

RSVP: Senior volunteers needed in various capacities at various sites. Call June Sadler, 667-3179, for more information.

Catholic Charities: Volunteers needed for family education of parents in recovery coupled with support education for children of addictive parents. Seven-week sessions will begin the evening of Jan. 16. Facilitators for children’s group also needed. Call Terri, 676-1974.

Habitat for Humanity: Volunteers needed for distribution building supply store either in warehouse or as in-store clerks. Flexible schedule. Greatest need is Friday and Saturday. Kim, 762-4352.

Teen Aid Project: Volunteers will be needed about the first part of February to tutor high school students who are failing or near-failing in core subjects. One hour twice a week, flexible, Monday-Thursday, 2:30-3:30 p.m. Frank, 666-0406.
