Spokane Valley native wins design award
Spokane Valley native Marissa Hatcher took second place in a recent architectural design contest.
The Montana State University student designed a day-care facility to win second place in Design Challenge, the first level of competition in the Leading Edge student design contest. She collected a $2,000 scholarship as part of the award.
Students from 82 colleges and universities around the world entered the competition. Hatcher is a 2001 Central Valley High School graduate.
