MOSCOW, Idaho – Angela Whyte won both two events – including her fifth straight title in the women’s 60-meter hurdles – at the 30th annual Vandal Indoor track and field meet Friday night at Kibbie Dome.

The Canadian Olympian, now an assistant coach at the University of Idaho, won the 60 dash in 7.52 seconds and the hurdles in 8.16, joining former Washington State standout Andrea Thornton as a double winner. Thornton won the women’s discus at 165 feet, 5 inches, and the 20-pound weight throw at 56-111/4

In one of the evening’s better races, Idaho’s Heather Hoeck edged WSU’s Brandi Probasco-Canda by a mere .01 of a second in the 400, clocking 56.73.

In the women’s 800, Eastern Washington’s Caitlin Prunty broke her school record for the second time this year, running 2:12.48 behind Portland’s Kelsey Metcalfe.
