Apparently, beating a team three times isn’t enough to get into the state tournament. Kettle Falls’ boys dispatched Colfax twice during the regular season and once in districts, but Colfax came back to win 53-51 Tuesday night for the second NEA berth to state. On the girls’ side, Colfax’s “Cardiac Kids” survived two overtime wins and a two-point loss at districts for the second spot into the state tournament, the school’s eighth straight. The Bulldogs (15-8) have two freshmen and four sophomores playing big minutes.
