Boys and girls teams around the league fared well in holiday tourneys, but the real excitement begins this week. The Friday night league-opening matchups have Colfax at Newport and Kettle Falls at Freeman. The boys’ side features the 7-3 KF Bulldogs at the 7-2 Freeman Scotties. As for the girls, both games should be tight, with Newport (5-2) taking on defending state champion Colfax (5-4) and Freeman (6-3) host to Kettle Falls (6-4)..
