1964 Buick LeSabre

Greg Zyla King Features Syndicate

Q: Could you give me an estimate of what my vehicle would sell for? It is a four-door 1964 Buick LeSabre that I purchased from an elderly gentleman in 1967. It has been garaged most of the time, and I have maintained it regularly.

The interior is practically mint. The body has a small ding and a couple of small spots, but other than that the car looks mint, and it is a real eye-catcher when I take it out. It has an aluminum cast V-8 engine, and I was told the engine would cost $10,000 to replace. — Jim P., New Port Richey, Fla.

A: I checked recent ads and found cars similar to yours selling for $2,500 to $4,500 on the open market, but yours might fetch more from a real die-hard Buick lover because of the aluminum-head engine. Good luck if you sell.
