Kellogg turns turnovers into a victory

Kellogg jumped out to a seven-point lead after one quarter and kept the pressure on to win an Intermountain League boys basketball victory, 48-34, at St. Maries Saturday.

The Wildcats forced 24 St. Maries turnovers. Brandon Landrum’s 10 points topped Kellogg.

St. Maries (3-6 overall, 0-2 in league) shot just 10 of 40 from the free-throw line, but got 19 points from Ryne Eberlin.

Kellogg (7-4, 2-0) toke over sole possession of first place in league with the victory.

Williams’ jumper keeps Troy unbeaten

Connor Williams sank a 5-foot turnaround jumper with 18 seconds left to keep Troy undefeated at 9-0 with a 43-42 victory at Colfax. The Bulldogs missed two shots that would have put them in the lead in the final seconds. Adam Bruya’s nine points paced Colfax (4-8). … Moscow 51, LeGrande (Ore) 34: The undefeated Bears took control in the second quarter at home, taking a 25-14 lead at intermission. Paul Wimer had 17 points and Jake Lefors 10 for Moscow (10-0).
