Training for AARP income tax preparers – Begins today and continues through Jan. 28. Volunteers must attend an opening session today at 9 a.m. or 6 p.m., at the Harding Family Center, 15th and Wallace. This program helps senior citizens and low- to moderate-income taxpayers complete and file federal and state tax returns online. Moscow Arts Commission Youth Choir auditions – Wednesday and Thursday at Lena Whitmore Elementary School, 110 S. Blaine, beginning at 3:10 p.m. on each day. No preparation is required. Mentoring Fair – Saturday beginning at 10 a.m. at Lake City Senior Center. Learn about mentoring teens who suffer from alcohol and drug use or are high school dropouts. Participating groups include Big Brothers Big Sisters, Anchor House, Juvenile Justice, Post Falls School District Mentoring Program, RSVP Generation Motivation Mentoring Program, Project Safe Place and Idaho Mentors for Early Care in Education. Crisis Intervention Training for the Women’s Center – begins Saturday from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. at Kootenai Medical Center.
