Broncos top Wildcats in overtime
Lind-Ritzville went on an 18-9 run in overtime to salt away a 78-69 Bi-County League win Tuesday at Wilbur-Creston.
Odessa’s Michael Johnson sent the game into overtime by drilling three straight free throws with 1.7 seconds left in regulation.
Jake Kragt scored nine of his 14 points in overtime to lead the Broncos.
Careron Stevenson led Lind-Ritzville (8-0, 6-0) with 19 points.
Johnson led all scorers with 23 points for the Wildcats (4-5, 4-3). Tyler Llewellyn added 16 and Cade Anderson 13.

Rams blow lead, earn win
Riverside earned a 37-34 victory over visiting Lakeside despite having its 14-point fourth-quarter lead evaporate. Lakeside managed to even the score at 34-all, but could not manage to take the lead and its three-point attempt to tie at the buzzer wouldn’t fall. Buddy Wood paced Riverside (7-2, 2-0) with 16 points and seven rebounds. Bret Britton and Alex Stillar had 11 and 10 points, respectively, for the Eagles (6-5, 2-1.

Republic rolls
Republic built a 24-point lead after one quarter and never looked back, downing visiting Springdale 85-30. Gaeb Giddings had 14 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to lead the Tigers (10-1, 6-0), with Tyler Orestad adding 13, Zach Gianukakis 12 and Kyle Lehn 11. Jesse Shelton, Adam Thompson and Mike Whitney all scored six points to lead the Chargers (1-11, 0-6).

Nighthawks down Gar-Pal
Tekoa-Oakesdale took control of the league showdown in the opening minutes of the second half, scoring the first six points on Garfield-Palouse to earn a 58-50 win on the Nighthawks’ home court. Derek Flock poured in 24 points to lead T-O (10-1, 4-1), which shot 52 percent from the field. Nels Iverson led the Vikings (7-4, 3-2) with 18 points, with Mike Rosser adding another dozen. … Rosalia 53, St. John-Endicott 49: Brandon VanDalsen drilled a 3-pointer in the final minute to put the Spartans up on their home court, 49-46, and C.J. Brown converted a pair of free throws with two seconds left to give the team a four-point lead and put the game out of reach. Chris Widman led Rosalia (4-9, 1-4) with 12 points, with VanDalsen adding another 11. Brent Leifer led all scorers with 13 points for the Eagles (7-5, 2-3).

In effect, the Dragons slew themselves at Freeman. St. George’s committed 35 turnovers while the Scotties had four players score in double figures en route to an 86-32 victory. Malcolm Soelberg led all scorers with 24 points to pace the Scotties (9-2), who built a 40-22 lead at intermission.
