Anger Management Class – For ages 12-17. Class also will focus on self-esteem and conflict resolution. Contact Patrick Donahue, 979-7076, for more information.

Before- and After-school Programs – Educational and fun programs are available at the Northeast Youth Center, 4001 N. Cook. Transportation to and from some local elementary schools is available and state pay is accepted. Includes a USDA approved snack. Camp Fire USA – Clubs forming for children between the ages of 3-grade 12. Call the Camp Fire USA Service Center for more information, 747-6191.

Jump Rope Academy – Instruction includes single rope and double Dutch; ages 2-adult. Monday-Saturday. Free introduction class. Birthday and group workshops; $8 per person. Combination parent and child classes; motor-skill and brain-development exercises. Wednesday, Friday and Saturday classes available. Call Deborah, 487-5567, for more information.

Libby Teen Center – Open for basketball, volleyball and table games Tuesdays through Saturdays from 4:30-9 p.m. Free. Also scheduling outdoor activities, field trips and aerobics classes at the center, 2900 E. First Ave. For more information, or to volunteer, call 536-8152.

Paws for Reading – Practice reading aloud to Kaile the reading dog, Mondays through February, 4:30 p.m. at the East Side Library, 524 S. Stone. Call 444-5377 for more information.

X-Brain Yo-Yo – Learn amazing tricks at yo-yo classes at Colors on the Wind, 118 E. Wellesley Ave. Classes are Saturdays from 10 a.m.-noon. Registration and classes are free. For more information, call Becky at 484-5483.

Young Mom’s Life Skills/Support Group – Teen Parent Network provides a weekly young mom’s group for moms between the ages of 13-24 for encouragement, understanding, and acceptance. Fun and useful information on cooking, crafts, parenting, budgeting, spirituality, more. Free childcare, transportation is provided first come, first served. Call Val at 252-3942 for more details.
