It’s no surprise Freeman’s boys have led the league all basketball season, but the unlikely team one game behind is Kettle Falls. The Bulldogs (10-6, 2-1) could tie up matters with the Scotties (12-2, 3-0) with a home win over Freeman this Friday. The game pits league-leading scorer Malcolm Soelberg of Freeman (16.2 ppg) against Zac Barber (14.9 ppg). Freeman’s girls (12-2, 3-0) are also in first place. On their heels is Colfax (10-6, 2-1), which hosts Newport on Friday.
