“MyBible 4” software lets biblical scholars study Scripture on Palm-powered personal digital assistants (PDAs) and smart phones, such as the PalmOne Treo. With the new version, Palm users can highlight, bookmark, view and search for text on downloaded Bibles and reference books. The program’s new split-screen option lets users view three translations and/or reference books at once. With its lookup tool, users also can highlight a word and view its meaning in an installed dictionary. Laridian’s “MyBible 4” program costs $10 and works with downloaded Bible translations (some of which are free) and Bible and reference books costing $5 to $30.
