Blanchard Area Seniors Inc. – is sponsoring Mr. Potato Head Night, 5-9 p.m., at the Loft Restaurant at Stoneridge Resort in Blanchard. Various potato dishes will be served with a requested donation of $5 for adults and $3 for children. North Idaho College 35th annual Popcorn Forum Series – Presentation of “Free Speech and Press vs. Censorship,” featuring Gonzaga law professor James Vache and corporate attorney Gary Maehara at 10:30 a.m., response panels will be from 1-2:30 p.m. and 7-8:30 p.m., in the NIC Edmister Student Union Building, Lake Coeur d’Alene Room. Wednesday will feature “Sex and Politics: The Arguments For and Against Same-Sex Marriage,” at 9 a.m. at Boswell Hall Auditorium. Guest speakers Praveen Fernandes, a public policy advocate with the Human Rights Campaign in Washington D.C., and Dwight Duncan, a professor at the Southern New England School of Law, will present opposing sides of the topic.
