Schedule: Today – All field events except the boys pole vault, 3 p.m.; 3,200 meters for boys and girls, 4:30; medley relay for boys and girls, 6. Friday – Boys pole vault, 11 a.m.; the balance of the running finals, noon.
At a glance: The top three individuals and winning relays earn state berths in 5A. The top two individuals and winning relay earn state berths in 4A. In 5A, LC’s girls, the two-time defending state champs, are favored while Lewiston’s boys are seeking a fifth straight regional title. In 4A, Moscow’s boys and girls are favored. State is May 19-20 in Boise.
3A District I
When: Friday and Saturday
Where: Van Tuinstra Memorial Field, Timberlake High School
Defending champs: Timberlake boys, Bonners Ferry girls
Schedule: Friday – Field events (discus, triple jump and pole vault for girls and shot put, long jump and high jump for boys), 4 p.m.; 3,200 for girls and boys, 4:30; preliminaries in hurdles and sprints for boys and girls followed by medley relay for boys and girls, 5:15. Saturday – Field events (shot put, long jump and high jump for girls and discus, triple jump and pole vault for boys), 10 a.m.; running finals, 11.
At a glance: The top three individuals and the winning relays earn state berths. Timberlake’s boys, the defending state champ, are favored to repeat as district champ while Priest River’s girls will challenge Bonners Ferry, the defending state champ. State is May 19-21 in Boise.
1A Region I

Defending champs: Nezperce boys, Kootenai girls
Schedule: Friday – Field events (triple jump, high jump and discus in girls and long jump, pole vault and shot put in boys), 4 p.m.; 3,200 for girls and boys, 4:45; preliminaries in hurdles and sprints for boys and girls followed by medley relay for boys and girls, 5:15. Saturday – Field events (long jump, pole vault and shot put for girls and triple jump, high jump and discus for boys), 10 a.m.; running finals, noon.
At a glance: The top four individuals and top two relays earn state berths. The three-time state champ Kootenai girls are favored to capture a fourth consecutive district title. State is May 19-21 in Boise.
