Smoke-Free Sunday - The Washington State Department of Health is sponsoring the first ever Smoke-Free today. Families are encouraged to patronize smoke-free restaurants, and restaurants which allow smoking are encouraged to be smoke-free for the day. Summit Valley Remembrance Day Reunion - Summit Valley School is a historic two-room school house built in 1908. An open house and program will be held Saturday at 2 p.m., Summit Valley School, 2360 Addy-Gifford Road, Addy, Wash. Presently the school houses Summit Valley pre-school and kindergarten classes and the library department. Activities include a display of historic photos, live music, craft fair, tractor and car show, potluck picnic, and more. Pet Fest – All breed, all species, pet expo, Saturday-next Sunday, Spokane Fair and Expo Center, Ag Buildings. Includes family entertainment, training demonstrations, pet-related products for sale, wiener dog races, Singing with Your Pet Duet, Skyhoundz local Canine Disc Championships, Dog Food Dive for prizes, and more than 100 pets available for adoption through local rescue groups. Also this year, scouts from Animal Planet will be viewing auditions during the national pet talent competition.
