Angels 2, Indians 1: At Cleveland, Bartolo Colon (5-3) pitched eight strong innings and Los Angeles rallied for two runs in the ninth off Jake Westbrook (1-7) to beat the Indians. Westbrook had a two-hitter through eight innings.

Athletics 13, Red Sox 6: At Oakland, Calif., Eric Chavez hit a three-run homer, David Wells flopped in his first start in three weeks and the Athletics routed Boston. The A’s tagged Wells for seven runs and nine hits in his first start since April 25 because of a sprained right foot.

White Sox 7, Rangers 0: At Chicago, Mark Buehrle (7-1) won his sixth straight decision and Jermaine Dye doubled three times, once with the bases loaded, to help the White Sox beat Texas.

Twins 3, Blue Jays 2: At Minneapolis, Jacque Jones and Michael Cuddyer homered to lift Minnesota over Toronto.

Tigers 6, Devil Rays 4: At Detroit, Dmitri Young homered and Omar Infante drove in two runs as the Tigers handed Tampa Bay its fourth straight loss.

Orioles 7, Royals 4: Melvin Mora had two homers and four RBIs, and Baltimore beat the Royals for its sixth straight victory in Kansas City, Mo.

National League

Padres 8, Braves 4: At San Diego, Khalil Greene hit a pair of three-run homers for a career-high six RBIs, and Adam Eaton (6-1) won his fourth consecutive start to lead surging San Diego to a three-game sweep of Atlanta.

Mets 10, Reds 6: At New York, Chris Woodward, Mike Cameron and David Wright homered, and Mike Piazza went 4 for 4 as the Mets beat Cincinnati to complete a three-game sweep.

Cubs 3, Pirates 2: At Pittsburgh, Jose Macias’ sacrifice fly drove in the go-ahead run, and Chicago rallied with two runs in the ninth against closer Jose Mesa (0-3) for the second time in less than 20 hours, to beat the Pirates.

Cardinals 8, Phillies 4: At Philadelphia, Yadier Molina hit a three-run homer and Albert Pujols added a two-run shot, helping St. Louis beat the Phillies. Bobby Abreu homered for the ninth time in 10 games for Philadelphia.

Nationals 1, Brewers 0: At Washington, Jeffrey Hammonds singled home the winning run with one out in the ninth, giving the Nationals a victory over Milwaukee.

Diamondbacks 7, Astros 6: At Houston, Troy Glaus hit a two-run homer, Russ Ortiz (4-2) pitched well enough to win and Arizona roughed up Andy Pettitte (2-5) before holding off the Astros.

Marlins 8, Dodgers 3: At Los Angeles, Carlos Delgado, Miguel Cabrera and Damion Easley homered in a five-run sixth, powering Florida to a win over the Dodgers.

Giants 3, Rockies 2: At Denver, Deivi Cruz hit a tiebreaking triple in the ninth, sending San Francisco past Colorado in the lowest-scoring game at Coors Field this season.
