Forget dollars - don’t go calling Diddy a bad daddy
P. Diddy likes to brag about having the biggest yacht, the most expensive parties, the grandest houses and more. Now he’s been ordered to pay what could be the biggest child support order in New York state history, and he’s not happy.
Last month, the New York State Supreme Court’s Appellate Division approved an increase from about $5,000 to $21,782 per month to the hip-hop mogul’s ex-girlfriend, Misa Hylton-Brim.
Diddy (aka Sean Combs) vowed to appeal, saying the case was an attack on his character.
“It’s not about money,” he said. “If you come at me and say I don’t take care of my child, I’m going to take care of that to the end.”
In addition to child support, Diddy said he also pays for his 11-year-old son Justin‘s health insurance, tuition, vacations, clothes and other items, for a total of about $120,000 per year.
“I do take care of my child to my fullest, that’s something that should be rewarded,” he said. “It’s not something that should be handled this way.”
Birds of a feather detox together
Bobby Brown says he believes that his wife, Whitney Houston, has successfully completed her second stint in rehab in the past year.
“Everything about her spirit right now is just great … we’re enjoying life again.” Brown told “Access Hollywood” in an interview Tuesday night.
“It takes two to make things work, so I have to be there for her just like she was there for me when I went through my rehab stint,” added Brown, who has his own history of drug and alcohol arrests.
The reality TV show “Being Bobby Brown,” debuting June 30 on Bravo, also will feature Houston.
She should thank her lucky stars
Newlywed Renee Zellweger recalled her first trip to Hollywood nearly two decades ago as she received her star Tuesday on Tinseltown’s Walk of Fame.
“I used two rolls of film on just on these stars alone, and I was so excited to be here, and I had my fingers crossed really tightly that one day I could participate in some small way in this medium that I love so much,” the 36-year-old Academy Award winner said.
Zellweger married country music star Kenny Chesney on May 9 on the Caribbean island of St. John.
Hey, Madonna lived in the original sin city
Brittany Murphy admits to being awed when she saw pop star Madonna arrive at the British premiere of “Sin City.”
“It’s probably the second time I’ve ever been star-struck in my life,” said the 27-year-old Murphy, one of the movie’s co-stars. “She’s my idol.”
And speaking of star-struck …
Burt Reynolds apparently slapped a CBS-TV assistant producer in the face Tuesday night at a New York screening of his new film, “The Longest Yard.”
In footage aired Wednesday on CBS’ “Early Show,” after the producer acknowledged he hadn’t seen the new film or the 1974 original, Reynolds seemed to slap him, saying, “What … kinda of guy are you?”
A spokesman for Reynolds said he “playfully tapped (the producer) on the cheek, as if to say, ‘Well, that’s not very nice.’ He was kidding.”
