For anyone who’s ever grabbed a bag of chips, tossed the clean laundry off the sofa and swept the junk off the coffee table so they can put their feet up to watch an episode of The Learning Channel’s “Clean Sweep,” life is about to get even better.

The hit show, which features a crew with an organizational expert, designers and a carpenter, takes ordinary people whose belongings have taken over their lives from chaos to clean and serene.

To appear on the show, homeowners must agree to sort through their belongings, toss a good bit of it and sell the rest. The little that remains is organized and stored properly. The newly liberated room or space is freshened up with paint and accessories.

The book, “Clean Sweep: Conquer the Clutter: Reclaim Your Space, Reclaim Your Life” is the print companion to the series.

Packed with before- and after-photos and biographies of the show’s cast, it takes the reader through how to assess your needs, through the yard sale and how to keep the space clean.

Special tips for storing DVDs, CDs and photos, how to outfit a home office and even how-to’s for an organized laundry room round everything out.
