NEW FACES

Intermountain Community Bank has hired Ted Hanson as vice president/commercial team leader in the Spokane Valley branch. He has 15 years of banking experience and is a graduate of Eastern Washington University.

Doug Gulbranson has been hired at Spokane Alpine Haus as store manager. Gulbranson previously worked at LouLous and is a master boot fitter.

Duvoisin and Associates has hired Melanie Haymond as director of marketing. She previously worked at EPIC Imaging in Portland.

Northwest Orthopaedic Specialists has hired Dr. Andrew Howlett. He specializes in pediatric and adult musculoskeletal tumors and trauma care.

Trevor Pincock has been hired as an associate at the law office of Lukins & Annis. He graduated from the University of Idaho School of Law in 2005 and holds a bachelor’s degrees in mass communication/journalism and anthropology from Idaho State University.

D.A. Davidson & Co. has hired Bill Whitney as a senior financial consultant in the Sandpoint office. He previously worked at Edward Jones Investments and has been working in the financial services industry for 10 years.

Bruce Barge has been hired as manager of the Colville branch of Horizon Credit Union. He has been working in the financial industry for 29 years and previously worked at Alaska USA Federal Credit Union.

The north office of Windermere Real Estate has hired Doug Bullis as a sales associate. He previously worked as an account executive at New Horizons Computer Learning Center.

Dr. Marek Janout has been hired at Heart Clinics Northwest as an invasive cardiologist. He is a 1999 graduate of Creighton University and completed his internship, residency and fellowship at the University of Illinois. Janout has also been accepted for membership in the Spokane County Medical Society.

The Body Clinic has hired Joseph Person and Earl Duenas. They are both licensed massage practitioners and are graduates of the Inland Massage Institute.

Taudd Hume has been hired as an associate at the law firm of Foster Pepper & Shefelman. He is a graduate of the University of Montana School of Law and previously practiced at Lukins & Annis.

Horace Mann Companies has hired Crosby Tajan as a product specialist in the Post Falls office. Tajan has completed training in property/casualty sales and service.

PROMOTED

Bernardo-Willis Architects has promoted David Hipp to associate. He has been with the firm since 1997 and is a graduate of Texas Tech University.

Bill Waggoner has been promoted to assistant branch manager at the Coeur d’Alene office of D.A. Davidson & Co. He is a vice president and financial consultant and has been with the company since 2000.

Gloria Thomsen has been awarded the Dominic Allessio Employee of the Quarter at Global Credit Union.

Bob Woods has been certified as a Commercial and Residential Building Inspector by the International Code Council. He is a registered architect at Zeck Butler Architects and is LEED-accredited.

The Davenport Hotel has received the 2005 Platinum Choice Award by the readers of Smart Meetings Magazine.

Michael Redman has earned the Personal Financial Representative designation from Allstate Financial Services.

The Circling Raven Golf Club has been named Top Resort Merchandiser of the Year by other golf clubs in Oregon, Washington, Western Montana and Northern Idaho.

Chuck Whitman of Whitman Auctioneer Services has placed third at the 2005 Northwest Auctioneer Championship contest.

The Coeur d’Alene Area Chamber of Commerce has elected new board members. They are: Paul Burke of the Coeur d’Alene Press; Skip Peterson of Devin Galleries; Carrie Oja of the Board of Realtors; Kent Propst of North Idaho College; Troy Tymeson of the City of Coeur d’Alene; Sue Spinazza of Black Rock Development; Marshall Thompson of Commercial Printing; and Jim Williamson of Williamson-Johnson.

GIFTS

Numerica Credit Union recently held a diaper and formula drive for the Vanessa Behan Crisis Nursery. The credit union donated almost 2,000 diapers and 20 canisters of formula.

Washington State Employees Credit Union has raised $13,000 for disaster relief for the victims of hurricanes Rita and Katrina. The money was donated by the credit union’s members and employees.

Spokane Federal Credit Union has distributed a videotape, “The U.S. Congress and You,” to area high schools.
