Braves fall to Leafs despite early score

NELSON, B.C. – J.C. Thomas gave Spokane an early 1-0 lead, but it wasn’t enough as the Braves fell to Nelson 2-1 on Wednesday in the Kootenay International Junior Hockey League.

Spokane’s Jason Greenwell made 36 saves and assisted on Thomas’ goal. Adam Magllio and Brendon Ofloff scored for Nelson.

The Braves and Leafs will play again on Friday at 7 at Planet Ice to complete a home-and-home series.
