Veterans Day assemblies planned at area schools

The following Spokane Valley schools will host an assembly today in honor of Veterans Day. The public, especially local veterans, are invited to attend.

Central Valley High School – Assembly begins at 10 a.m. in the school gym, 821 S. Sullivan Road, reception immediately following the event; any veteran interested in attending should call Principal Mike Hittle at 228-5100.

West Valley High School – Assembly begins at 9:40 a.m. in the gym, 8301 E. Buckeye Ave., all are welcome. For more information, call 924-2150.

East Valley High School – Reception for veterans at 8:30 a.m. in the school library, assembly begins at 9:20 in the gym, 15711 E. Wellesley Ave. Please call 927-3200, ext. 247 if planning to attend.

East Valley Middle School – Assembly at 8 a.m. in the gym, 4920 N. Progress Road; call 924-9383 for more information.

Evergreen Middle School, – Assembly begins at 8:30 a.m. in the gym, 14221 E. 16th Ave.; call 228-4780 for more information.

Horizon Middle School – Assembly at 2 p.m. in the gym, 3915 S. Pines Road; call 228-4940 for more information.

Greenacres Middle School – Assembly at 9:30 a.m. in the gym, 17409 E. Sprague Ave.; call 228-4860 for more information.

Mountain View Middle – Assembly at 9 a.m. in the gym, 6011 N. Chase Road; call 226-1379 for more information.

Adams Elementary School – An assembly for veterans in the Adams community will be at 1:30 p.m. in the gym, 14707 E. Eighth Ave.; call the school if you are planning to attend, 228-4000

McDonald Elementary – Assembly at 10 a.m. in the gym, 1512 S. McDonald Road; call 228-4350 for more information.

University Elementary – Assembly begins at 2 p.m. in the gym, 1613 S. University Road; call school if planning to attend, 228-4650.

Ponderosa Elementary – Assembly begins at 2 p.m., 10105 E. Cimarron Drive; check in at the office. For more information, call 228-4450.

Greenacres Elementary – First-grade students will perform at two concerts for veterans at 1:30 and 7 p.m. in the school gym, 17915 E. Fourth Ave. For more information, call 228-4200.

East Farms Elementary – Assembly at 1:15 p.m. in the gym, 26203 E. Rowan Ave.; check in with the school office. For more information, call 226-3039.

Otis Orchards Elementary – Assembly at 9:45 a.m. in the gym, 22000 E. Wellesley Ave.; call 924-9823.

Skyview Elementary – Assembly at 2:20 p.m. in the gym, 16294 E. Wellesley Ave.; call the school at 927-3210.

Trent Elementary – Assembly at 2:30 p.m. in the gym, 3303 N. Pines Road; call 924-2622 for more information.
