It should be a good night
Here’s an early Oscar prediction: “Good Night, and Good Luck” will be nominated for:
Best Picture: Grant Heslov, etc.
Best Director: George Clooney.
Best Actor: David Strathairn.
Best Original Screenplay: Heslov and Clooney.
Best Cinematography: Robert Elswit.
Best Art Direction: Christa Munro.
Best Editing: Stephen Mirrione.
Best Sound Mixing: Oscar Mitt, etc.
The film may earn more. It may earn less. It deserves them all. And more.
We’ll find out Jan. 31 when nominations are announced. The awards show will be held March 5 in Hollywood.
