Nicaragua – Representatives of the Center for Development in Central American will discuss free trade, alternative development models and other issues as they relate to Nicaragua. Holiday party – The East Central Senior Center will host a free Christmas party with music, treats and door prizes at 1 p.m. at the center, 500 S. Stone. Archeology and ancient history – Andrew Goldman, history professor at Gonzaga University, will lecture on “Discovering a Roman Military Post: The 2004-05 Excavations in The Roman Town at Gordion” at 5 p.m., Jundt Art Center auditorium, 500 E. Boone; free; 23-6691.
