B-11: Each of the last five years, as well as four other times in 32 B-11 playoffs, two Northeast B-11 teams made the state semifinals. With a perfect weekend, the league could make it three semifinalists for the first time. Second-ranked Davenport (10-0) travels to Lacey to face No. 7 Willapa Valley (10-1) with an eye toward stopping the Vikings’ big-play combination of quarterback Brady Langer, 6-foot-4 wide receiver Ryan Freeman and 6-5 receiver Lance Anderson. Reardan (8-1), ranked fourth, plays 10th-ranked Asotin (8-2) in Clarkston, after Asotin knocked off previously undefeated No. 5 Mabton 17-10 on Friday. Asotin ran for 249 yards, but allowed 258 on the ground to the Vikings, a welcome sight to Reardan, which pounded its way to 7.4 yards a carry in a 42-6 win over Kittitas Friday night. Ninth-ranked Lind-Ritzville (7-3), coming off a 24-21 win over La Salle, heads to the northwest corner of the state to Mt. Vernon to play unranked Orcas Island (8-4), which upset No. 3 Wahkiakum 21-19 on Saturday.

B-8: It has been exactly 10 years since St. John-Endicott (6-3) has played in a State B-8 football game. On Friday night, the Eagles will end that drought against No. 2 Columbia-Hunters (10-0) in Chattaroy. SJE hasn’t won a playoff game since the 1984 semifinals, a 32-20 win over Inchelium. Meanwhile, No. 1 LaCrosse-Washtucna (10-0), which hasn’t lost since the 2001 semifinals, will host Sprague-Harrington (8-2) in Kennewick. S-H running back Leigh Talkington will try to lead the upset bid, as he has scored 30 touchdowns this year, 27 on the ground.
