Vanderbilt 28, Tennessee 24: At Knoxville, Tenn., Earl Bennett caught a 5-yard touchdown pass from Jay Cutler with 1:11 to go and the Commodores (4-6, 2-5) beat the Volunteers (5-6, 3-5) to end a 22-game losing streak to Tennessee.
South Florida 31, Cincinnati 16: At Tampa, Fla., D’Juan Brown returned an interception 26 yards for a touchdown and the Bulls (6-3, 4-1 Big East) beat the Bearcats (4-6, 2-4).
North Carolina 24, Duke 21: At Chapel Hill, N.C., Ronnie McGill rushed for 146 yards including a 3-yard TD run in the final 2 minutes to lead the Tar Heels (5-5, 4-3 ACC) past the Blue Devils (1-10, 0-8).
North Carolina State 24, Middle Tennessee 3: At Raleigh, N.C., Andre Brown ran for 94 yards and a TD to help the Wolfpack (5-5) keep their bowl hopes alive with a win over the Blue Raiders (3-6).
Tulsa 38, Tulane 14: At Monroe, La., Paul Smith threw for 254 yards and three TDs to lead the Golden Hurricane (7-4, 6-2 C-USA) past the Green Wave (2-8, 1-6).
East Carolina 34, Marshall 29: At Huntington, W.Va., Chris Johnson rushed for three touchdowns to lead the Pirates (4-6, 3-4 C-USA) past the Thundering Herd (4-6, 3-4). The loss hands Marshall its first losing season since 1983.

Iowa 52, Minnesota 28: At Iowa City, Iowa, Ed Hinkel caught seven passes for 151 yards and four touchdowns and the Hawkeyes (7-4, 5-3 Big Ten) cruised to a victory over the Golden Gophers (7-4, 4-4).
Northwestern 38, Illinois 21: At Champaign, Ill., Brett Basanez threw for 240 yards and Tyrell Sutton ran for 212 as the Wildcats (7-4, 5-3 Big Ten) beat the Fighting Illini (2-9, 0-8). Basanez became the third Big Ten quarterback – joining Purdue’s Drew Brees and Iowa’s Chuck Long – to throw for more than 10,000 career yards.
Purdue 41, Indiana 14: At Bloomington, Ind., Kory Sheets rushed for three touchdowns and Dorien Bryant ran in two more to help the Boilermakers (5-6, 3-5 Big Ten) rout the Hoosiers (4-7, 1-7).
Central Michigan 31, Ball State 24 (OT): At Muncie, Ind., Ryan Strehl blocked a punt and returned it 32 yards for a TD and Kent Smith hit Justin Harper for a 7-yard TD pass in overtime to lift the Chippewas (5-5, 4-3 MAC) over the Cardinals (4-6, 4-3).
Kansas State 36, Missouri 28: At Manhattan, Kan., Bill Snyder closed out his 17-year coaching career at Kansas State with his first victory since October, and the Wildcats (5-6, 2-6 Big 12) came back from a two-touchdown deficit in the second half to beat the Tigers (6-5, 4-4).

Baylor 44, Oklahoma State 34: At Waco, Texas, Paul Mosley had three 1-yard TD runs and Colin Allred returned an interception for a score to lead the Bears (5-6, 2-6 Big 12) to a win over the Cowboys (4-6, 1-6). The Bears won a second conference game in the same season for the first time.
Arkansas 44, Mississippi State 10: At Little Rock, Ark., Darren McFadden ran for 165 yards and became the seventh freshman in SEC history to rush for 1,000 yards as the Razorbacks (4-6, 2-5 SEC) rolled past the Bulldogs (2-8, 0-7).
Central Florida 31, Rice 28: At Houston, Steven Moffett threw an 18-yard touchdown pass to Brandon Marshall with 1:25 left to give the Golden Knights (8-3, 7-1) a win over the Owls (1-9, 1-6) and a spot in the Conference USA title game a year after going winless.
SMU 29, Houston 24: At Houston, DeMyron Martin scored two second-half touchdowns and Chris McMurtray kicked a 49-yard field goal with three seconds remaining to lift the Mustangs (3-7, 3-4 C-USA) over the Cougars (5-5, 3-4).
Louisiana-Monroe 24, North Texas 19: At Denton, Texas, Steven Jyles threw two touchdown passes and ran for a score and the Indians (5-5, 5-1) beat the Mean Green (2-8, 2-4) and clinched at least a share of the Sun Belt Conference title.

Air Force 42, New Mexico 24: At Albuquerque, N.M., Shaun Carney had a TD pass and the Falcons (4-7, 2-5 MWC) rushed for 278 yards in a win over the Lobos (6-5, 4-4).
Utah 41, BYU 34 (OT): At Provo, Utah, Brett Ratliff threw for four TD passes in his first start, including a 25-yard pass to Travis LaTendresse in overtime and the Utes (6-5, 4-4 MWC) held off the Cougars (6-5, 5-3).
Colorado State 31, UNLV 27: At Las Vegas, Johnny Walker’s 75-yard punt return in the fourth quarter gave the Rams (6-5, 5-3 MWC) a win over the Rebels (2-9, 1-7).
San Diego State 34, Wyoming 21: At San Diego, Robert Ortiz caught an 18-yard pass from Kevin O’Connell for the go-ahead touchdown and the Aztecs (5-6, 4-4 MWC) rallied with 20 fourth-quarter points to beat the Cowboys (4-7, 2-6).
