Documentary choices narrowed down for Oscar nomination consideration
Fifteen films will be considered for Oscar nominations in the Best Documentary Feature category, the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced.
The Documentary Branch Screening Committee culled the selections after reviewing the category’s 82 eligible films.
The selected films:

•”Enron: The Smartest Guys in the Room”
•”Favela Rising”
•”Mad Hot Ballroom”
•”March of the Penguins”
•”Murderball”
•”Occupation: Dreamland”
•”On Native Soil: The Documentary of the 9/11 Commission Report”
•”Rize”
•”Street Fight”
•”39 Pounds of Love”
•”Unknown White Male”
Nominees in the documentary category and 24 other categories will be announced Jan. 31. The 78th Academy Awards will be presented at the Kodak Theatre on March 5.
