Zags do Spokane proud

The Spokesman-Review

I watched every game the Gonzaga men’s basketball team played at the Maui Invitational, and aside from seeing some of the best basketball played in the history of that tournament, I saw a team from our fair city that displayed great discipline, sportsmanship, respect, and endurance which makes them in fact, quite possibly the finest college basketball team in the nation.

Every one of those Gonzaga players, and coaching staff, need a huge round of applause and our thanks for not only providing us with fantastic basketball, but giving us in Spokane something of which to be proud again in our time of worldwide and national disgrace brought to us courtesy of our mayor and other unsavory characters not worth mentioning.

It is so wonderful such class and poise is directly reflected in the high caliber of people at Gonzaga, which indirectly puts a more positive light on the essence of our city, which is not such a darn weird place to be from!

Thank you, Gonzaga, for helping to make the nation realize that in Spokane, we do have something to be proud of! Go Zags!
