Children and Parenting Alone Program – The Doula Project needs mentors to provide support to single parents during birthing and early parenting months. Volunteers must be parents, have a high school education or GED, and be at least 26 years old. Contact Bonnie at 325-7667 for more information.

Community Colleges of Spokane – The Institute for Extended Learning is seeking volunteers to teach English to immigrant and refugee students. Most needed are individuals fluent in Spanish. For more information, call Karen at 533-4664.

Eastern State Hospital – Is looking for individuals or organizations to sponsor a patient during Christmas time. To learn more, contact Susan at 299-4280 or send e-mail to bordgesu@dshs.wa.gov.

Spokane County Superior Court Guardianship Monitoring Program – Needs volunteers to assist in monitoring cases to verify incapacitated persons are receiving adequate care, and their financial affairs are being handled properly. Contact Diane at 477-3886 for more information.

The Salvation Army – Volunteers are needed to greet clients, schedule appointments and support office staff. Must be age 18 or older. For more information, call Christy at 329-2732.
