Robinson leads Aggies to victory
Kevin Robinson tied a Utah State record with his third career punt return touchdown and caught two scoring passes, and the Aggies held off a late rally to beat San Jose State 24-17 Saturday in Logan, Utah.
The Aggies (2-2, 1-1) clinched their first victory in the Western Athletic Conference when the Spartans (1-4, 0-2) threw an incomplete pass on fourth down from the Utah State 34-yard line with 9 seconds remaining.
Jared Strubeck kicked a 46-yard field goal with 1:18 remaining to get the Spartans within a touchdown, and San Jose State had a chance to tie it after recovering the onside kick.
Adam Tafralis, who was 16 of 42 for 227 passing yards with a TD, drove San Jose State to the Utah State 29-yard line, but got sacked on second down, then threw two incompletions.
Robinson returned a punt 87 yards for a touchdown in the first quarter to tie the school record.

Mark Dillard rushed for 155 yards and two touchdowns to lead the Bulldogs (2-2, 2-0) over the Warriors (1-4, 1-2) in Ruston, La.
Dillard’s 59-yard touchdown run in the first put the Bulldogs up 9-7 and his 32-yard carry into the end zone in the third gave them a 37-14 lead.

The Bulldogs (3-1, 1-0) jumped out to a 17-0 first-quarter lead and never looked back en route to a win over the Aggies (0-6, 0-2) in Las Cruces, N.M.
