Spiritual workshop planned
Mary Cronk Farrell is presenting a workshop that will discuss spiritual family activities for fall on Tuesday from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Auntie’s Bookstore, 402 W. Main Ave.
Farrell, author of “Celebrating Faith: Year-Round Activities for Catholic Families,” will discuss activities for Halloween, Veterans Day and Thanksgiving. All faiths are welcome.

Spirituality workshop

Intelligent design speaker
Jay Richards, a scientist and theologian, will speak about intelligent design at Plymouth Congregational Church, 1508 W. Eighth Ave., Sunday during the 10 a.m. worship service.
Richards is co-author of the book “The Privileged Planet: How Our Place in the Cosmos is Designed for Discovery.”

Faith and politics discussion
The Interfaith Council and Catholic Charities are presenting a series of ecumenical discussion groups regarding Washington state’s general election.
The workshops will discuss many of the initiatives on the ballot in November and how to apply shared faith values in the voting booth. Workshops are scheduled from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, 316 E. 24th Ave.; Oct. 24 at St. John Vianney Roman Catholic Church, 501 N. Walnut Road, Spokane Valley; Oct. 26 at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, 440 N.E. Ash St., Pullman; and Oct. 27 at Country Homes Christian Church, 8415 N. Wall St.

Forum for senior ministries
The Retired and Senior Volunteer Program is presenting a citywide forum for leaders in senior ministries Tuesday from 3 to 4:30 p.m. at the West Central Community Center, 1603 N. Belt St. The forum will include networking opportunities and will discuss critical needs of seniors in Spokane.

Enneagram workshop
Ancient Traditions Community Church, 1928 E. Rich Ave., is offering the class Enneagram Personality Archetypes of the Soul from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 24 and Nov. 7.

• Knox Presbyterian Church, 806 W. Knox Ave., has hired newly ordained pastor Paul Seebeck.
Seebeck was a local sportscaster for more than 20 years before graduating from Gonzaga University with a master’s degree in pastoral ministry. He writes about religious issues for the Pacific Northwest Inlander and for the Web site www.thehighcalling.org.

• Rev. Jerry Cimijotti has been hired at Christ the King Anglican Church, 2715 S. Grand Blvd.
