Doba needs to show emotion

Please, somebody give WSU coach Bill Doba a lesson in emotion! If the coach shows no excitement, inspiration or even the least bit of passion – whether he wins or loses – what is the net effect on his team?

There was never any visual doubt if ex-coach Mike Price or ex-coach Jim Walden were emotionally involved in the game’s outcome. If you want excitement, listen to Bob Robertson and Walden’s broadcast of the game on the radio. Listen to Walden being interviewed on a pregame show. He could arouse excitement in a tackling dummy.

We all know Doba is a nice guy, but we also know nice guys finish last. And so do their teams. He needs to convert his cardboard cutout attitude into an overt show that he really gives a damn.
