St. Vincent’s de Paul: Volunteers needed to help with Art on the Edge, thrift store, wrapping or delivering Christmas donations, rides, mentoring homeless families, youth activities, and legal workshops. Call Dot, volunteer coordinator, 676-8619.

SHIBA: Volunteers needed for the Idaho Department of Insurance to help with enrollment in the new Medicare Prescription Part D Plan. This is a short-term involvement. Free training workshops. Call Mary or Gwen, 666-6847 or (800) 247-4422.

Teen Aid Project: After-school tutoring for high school students who are failing or near-failing in core subjects (math, English, science, history and languages). One hour twice a week (flexible). Hours are Monday-Thursday, 2:30-3:30 p.m., at a local church, starting Oct. 31. Call Frank, 666-0406.

Post Falls Hospice Thrift Shop: Volunteers urgently needed for sorting, general duties, lifting and possibly cashiering. Men are encouraged to apply. Six-hour shifts once a week, Monday-Saturday. Stop by 503 E. Seltice for an application, or call 772-7994 or 773-8534.

Lake City Playhouse: Volunteers needed to work at performances in exchange for a free show. We need box office help, concession sales and ushers. Call 667-1323.
