Q: I have a gavel signed by General Omar N. Bradley at a VFW club in Maryland during the 1940s. The signature is bold and clear, and I wonder if there is much interest in such an item. — Don (via e-mail).
A: I contacted three autograph dealers and was told that Gen. Bradley’s signature generally sells in the $25-$50 range. With that in mind, you might want to contact a dealer who specializes in military memorabilia. Two established ones are Dale C. Anderson, P.O. A good reference book for 45s is Rockin’ Records: Buyers-Sellers Reference Book and Price Guide, published by Osborne Enterprises of Port Townsend, Wash.
