Pro: Get you away from the crowd to where the fishing might

be better.

Con: Leave you farther away from a warm car with fewer options for abandoning the trip when the weather goes sour or the fish aren’t in.

Pro: The floating can be enjoyable even if the fish aren’t biting.

Con: The floating can be boring, arduous and dangerous even if the fish aren’t biting.

Pro: Float boats are rowed and require no costly fuel.

Con: Floaters have to arrange for car shuttles from the put-in

to the take-out.

Pro: Going to sleep to the sound of the river rushing outside

the tent.

Con: Putting on frozen waders in the morning.
