Southern Gospel quartet to perform

Spokane First Church of the Nazarene, 9004 N. Country Homes Blvd., will host Liberty, a traditional Southern Gospel quartet, Sunday at 6 p.m.

The group travels to churches, prisons, conventions and nursing homes fulltime, and also produces two recordings a year.

There is no charge for the performance, but donations will be accepted to benefit the group’s ministries. For information, call the church office at 467-8986.

Dinner and auction

Manito United Methodist Church, 3220 S. Grand Blvd., will present its annual auction and dinner today at 5 p.m.

Items on the block for the silent and live auction include artwork, gift ideas and services all provided by the church members. The proceeds will benefit the church’s general fund. For information, call the church office at 747-4755.

Centennial celebration

New Vision Lutheran Church, 3007 E. Marshall Ave., is celebrating 100 years of worship this weekend.

The church, also known as Bethany Lutheran, will kick off the festivities today from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., with a barbecue that includes activities and a prayer meeting at 7 p.m.

The weekend will wrap up with a celebratory service Sunday at 10 a.m. For information, call the church at 534-2728.

Compulsive eaters group workshop

The Coeur d’Alene Bible Church, 5350 N. Fourth St., Coeur d’Alene, is hosting Compulsive Eaters Anonymous, a 12-step program that relies on a higher power on Oct. 8 from 1 to 4:30 p.m.

The afternoon will include prayer and readings, as well as menu planning and recipe conversions.
