Award-winning poet Christopher Howell will read from his collection “Light’s Ladder” at 7:30 tonight in Gonzaga University’s Jundt Auditorium.

“Light’s Ladder” is one of 16 finalists for the 2005 Washington Book Awards.

Howell, whose work has won him two National Endowment for the Arts fellowships, teaches in the graduate creative writing program at Eastern Washington University, where he is a senior editor and past director of the Eastern Washington University Press.

The reading is free and open to the public. For more information, call 323-5995.
