Mead’s Hatcher finishes fifth
ARCADIA, Calif. – Dylan Hatcher of Mead High School took fifth place in the seeded 1-mile run at the 39th Arcadia Invitational Saturday at Arcadia High School.
Hatcher finished in 4 minutes, 20.57 seconds, just .05 seconds out of fourth place. Max Goldman of Beverly Hills (Calif.) High won the run in 4:18.10.
In the seeded 3,200, Steven Gimpel led a trio of Mead runners in the top 16, finishing 11th in a time of 9:28.15. Brian Palmer was 15th, coming in at 9:35.75, and Kelvin Daratha was 16th in 9:37.19.
In the open 3,200 run Friday, Mead’s Ryan Bishop finished in a tie for 14th, finishing in 9:54.96.
