Two Pirates win at NWC
Derrick Dewindt and Kristi Dickey won individual titles and Whitworth’s women grabbed the first-day lead at the Northwest Conference track and field championships Friday in Salem, Ore.
Dickey, who was questionable to compete because of a lingering leg injury, won the women’s 10,000 meters for the second straight year in 37 minutes, 21.17 seconds – more than 14 seconds ahead of Puget Sound’s Liana Roberts.
