Time to share her lifestyle
Come October, the highest bidder can sleep in Cher‘s bed.
It’s one of 700 items from the superstar’s Malibu home that will be auctioned, including furniture, artwork, jewelry, a 2003 H2 Hummer and original costumes by Bob Mackie.
The sale is expected to raise more than $1 million, with a “nice percentage” benefiting the Cher Charitable Foundation.
“I’m truly excited about it, having had this stuff for so many years,” says the 60-year-old singer-actress. “I’m only keeping about five items from everything I have.”
About 200 pieces from her extensive wardrobe and costume collection will be sold, including outfits featured on “The Sonny and Cher Comedy Hour” and an original Mackie-designed gown she wore to the Oscars.
Cher says she decided to put the items up for auction so she can redecorate in a variety of styles inspired by Morocco and Tibet: “It sounds crazy, but I’m going to try to mix a whole bunch of cultures together.”
Next for Moss: Rolling Stone?
Supermodel Kate Moss‘ comeback from drug-related troubles continues with her appearance on the cover of Vanity Fair, topping the magazine’s annual best-dressed list.
Also making the cut: George Clooney, Oprah Winfrey, Renee Zellweger, Gwen Stefani, Condoleezza Rice, Anderson Cooper, Sofia Coppola, Prince William and Jordan’s Queen Rania.
Moss, 32, entered a drug rehab clinic last year after pictures of her allegedly using cocaine were published in a British tabloid.
Yeah, that was just divine
Elizabeth Hurley says she plans to marry her boyfriend of three years, Indian businessman Arun Nayer, very soon and that they’re thinking of having a child.
Asked how she’d feel as a married woman, the 41-year-old actress-model says, “I’ll tell you once I am married.
“But I lived with Hugh Grant for 13 years; we were like husband and wife,” she adds. “I don’t think there will be much difference.”
Going for joke
Fresh from his Oscar nomination for “Brokeback Mountain,” Heath Ledger will play the Joker in “The Dark Knight,” the sequel to last year’s “Batman Begins.”
Christian Bale will again star as Batman, and Christopher Nolan will return as director, Warner Bros. announced.
Jack Nicholson played the Joker in 1989’s “Batman,” starring Michael Keaton.
They were sick and tired of it
Lindsay Lohan has been “on time and in great form” on the “Georgia Rule” movie set since receiving a scolding letter from the film’s producer, a production company publicist says.
Morgan Creek Productions chief James G. Robinson threatened to hold the 20-year-old Lohan financially responsible for “hundreds of thousands” of dollars in delays.
He also said her claims of illness and exhaustion were mere excuses for “ongoing all-night heavy partying.”
