Summer Concert Series – Featuring a performance by Canned Music, 6-8 p.m. Thursday in Coeur d’Alene Park, Second and Chestnut, Browne’s Addition. Concertgoers may bring a blanket and picnic; no alcohol will be allowed. The free concerts will continue Thursdays through August; (509) 747-2853.

West Plains Community Fair – The 14th annual event includes exhibits, games, food, animals and a car show, Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the Cheney Rodeo Grounds on State Route 905; (509) 926-2176.

Salmon feed – Hosted by the Spokane County Democratic Party, 5 p.m. to sunset, Sunday at the Riverfront Park north picnic shelter. Sen. Maria Cantwell will speak. The suggested donation is $35. Call (509) 324-8525 for reservations.
