Nationals 2, Mets 1: At Washington, former Mets 2000 first-round draft pick Billy Traber outdueled Tom Glavine and the Nationals edged New York.

Braves 2, Brewers 1: At Atlanta, John Smoltz pitched a five-hitter and Jeff Francoeur’s RBI double in the bottom of the ninth sent the Braves past Milwaukee.

Phillies 6, Reds 5 (14): At Philadelphia, Aaron Rowand singled in the winning run with one out in the 14th inning to lift the Phillies over Cincinnati.

Astros 4, Padres 2: At Houston, Andy Pettitte hit his first career homer and matched a season high with 10 strikeouts to lead the Astros over San Diego.

Rockies 10, Cubs 2: At Denver, Garrett Atkins hit a three-run homer, Ryan Spilborghs had three RBIs and Colorado pounded Chicago.

Marlins 4, Diamondbacks 1: At Phoenix, Josh Johnson allowed two hits in seven shutout innings as Florida beat Arizona.

Dodgers 3, Giants 2: At Los Angeles, Julio Lugo’s sacrifice fly drove in the go-ahead run in the eighth as the Dodgers edged San Francisco.
