Rumors of her engagement have been greatly exaggerated, says Jennifer Aniston.
Specifically, the former “Friends” star says an Us Weekly report that Vince Vaughn proposed to her in June, on a private jet after a trip to Mexico, is “insane.”
“I’m not engaged, and I don’t have a ring, and I haven’t been proposed to,” insists Aniston, 37.
She says she normally ignores rumors published about her, but decided to speak out because the report had been picked up by mainstream news outlets.
Us Weekly, meanwhile, is sticking to its story, which it says is based on “lengthy interviews with four sources close to the couple, including two who learned of the engagement directly from Vince Vaughn.”
So what is Aniston’s relationship with Vaughn, 36, whom she met last year while filming “The Break-Up”?
“We’re just being,” she says. “We’re having a good time.”

Samuel Wyatt and his mom are “doing incredible,” an ABC rep said. The couple also have a 3-year-old son, Zachary.

Eight months pregnant, Britney Spears is still getting used to the idea of baby No. 2, which she says wasn’t planned.
“I feel like I’ve been pregnant for 10 years,” says Spears, mom to 11-month-old Sean Preston, adding: “I’m going to wait awhile for the next (one).”
In the meantime, the pop star, who has gained 40 pounds, is indulging her cravings.
“I’ll get up in the middle of the night and I’ll get a Hershey’s bar, the real big ones, and I’ll put it in the microwave and melt it and eat it. It sounds disgusting, but it’s so satisfying.”
Keeping a J.Lo profile
A dispute between Jennifer Lopez and ex-husband Ojani Noa over his proposed tell-all book about their relationship can be settled through arbitration instead of going to court, their attorneys say.
Lopez filed a lawsuit in April and obtained a court order barring Noa from publishing intimate details of her sex life.
She married Noa, her second husband, in February 1997. They divorced 11 months later.
Rising to the occasion
The Sun is paying for its mistakes.
On Tuesday, the British tabloid published a photo of a partying Prince Harry manhandling the breast of a British TV presenter, saying he’d have to explain it to girlfriend Chelsy Davy.
The catch: The picture was taken in 2003, before they even met.
As an apology, The Sun said it would donate money to an unspecified charity.
