Summer break for women
Mom’s been carting the kids around all summer long. The kids have had play dates, tennis, ballet or karate lessons. There have been baseball games, sleepovers and campouts.
Who wouldn’t need a break after all of that?
Finally, it’s time for Mom (or grandmothers, aunts, sisters or just friends) to have some summer fun.
Camp Sweyolakan is holding its 16th annual Women’s Retreat Sept. 8 through 10.
Women 18 and older are invited to the camp at Mica Bay on Lake Coeur d’Alene. Some of the activities will include archery, kayaking, making new friends and taking a much needed break away from the hectic pace of everyday life. There are pedicures, facials and chair massages available, and to make it a true break away, they’ll even do the dishes for you after mealtime.
The camp can only be reached by boat, so campers will have two opportunities to get to the camp at 11 a.m. for early arrival and 6 p.m. for regular arrival Sept. 8.
On Sept. 10, departure times are 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.
The boat will depart and arrive at Independence Point in Coeur d’Alene.
The cost for the weekend and meals is $90 on or before next Monday, and there is a $15 late fee after then. Some activities require an extra charge.
