Women-only kayak clinic planned

Women of all ability levels are encouraged to take part in a women-only lake kayak clinic offered by North Idaho College’s Outdoor Pursuits.

The clinic will be from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Sept. 5, 12, 19 and 26, meeting on the NIC beach.

The clinic will teach participants the basics of kayaking, including paddle strokes, water currents and safety tips. Women who complete the clinics will have the basic skills required to operate a kayak. Participants also will explore scenic, secluded areas of Lake Coeur d’Alene.
