Sandpoint sweeps Bonners Ferry meet

Sandpoint’s boys and girls won the eight-team Bonners Ferry cross country invitational Saturday at Naples, Idaho.

Kathleen Vardell of Sandpoint took first place in the girls 5,000-meter race with a time of 20 minutes, 33 seconds.

Moscow’s Steven Farr won the boys race in 18:21.

Ryder Ashcraft scored twice as Kellogg tied Orofino (1-0-1) 2-2 in Intermountain League action. Amanda Seeling posted 12 saves for the Wildcats (0-2-1).
