Jason Dorrow scored 12 points and Forest Trampush added 10 as Chewelah topped host Timberlake 56-37 in a non-league game Saturday at Spirit Lake.

The Cougars (1-1) outscored the Tigers 16-4 in the fourth to put the game away.

Cody Jones led Timberlake (1-2) with 14 points and Levi Powers added 12.

In other non-league action, Josh Nyberg scored 13 points and Kris Wise added 10 as Riverside beat Lakeland 50-41 in Rathdrum. The Rams (1-0) converted on 21 of 34 free throws while the Hawks (0-2) were just 3 of 4. Matt Simpson led Lakeland with 16 points. … Cody Smith scored 20 points, including five 3-pointers, as Priest River beat visiting Newport 75-52. Jack Clow added 19 points for the Spartans (3-0), who led 37-23 at halftime.
