Hints from Heloise
Dear Heloise: We enjoy reading your column. Here are a few more hints to add to your list:
•If you have to take a pill every day for a certain number of days (say, an antibiotic), cut a small piece of paper and list the days down the left side. Roll it up and put it in the pill bottle. Whenever you take your pill, check off the date and put the paper back in the bottle (I tape the paper to the bottle – Heloise).
•Lay chopsticks in your spice cabinet to form front-to-back alleys for “same-type” spices (example: Italian spices). Keeps them “in line” and organized.
•Buy and label cheap little spray bottles for rubbing alcohol, hydrogen peroxide, diluted liquid soap, etc. – Robert D. in New York
Thanks for all your hints, Robert. One note: Hydrogen peroxide is light- and heat-sensitive, so don’t put it in a clear bottle. – Heloise
